I would like to request more flexibility in the layout of the screen components on the controller. For me the speedometer and tachometer are cute, wasted space. I would prefer the throttle slider wider and positionable at the right or left edge of the screen. This allows the easiest one handed operation without looking at the phone. I think WiThrottle has done the best of this, including the option of center-off slider.

We agree with Raymond. The whole idea was to not simply "judge" the speed but "know" the real speed. Did you know that the speedometer shows "real" speeds (once configured)? However, we like the idea of being able to hide/rearrange the elements of UI. That combined with haptic controls is the real power of smartphones. Does WiThrottle offer haptic controls? We believe that the use of sound and vibration is more useful if you want to do one handed operation without looking at your screen. And all these new customizations can be delivered via app updates. Talking about smartphones, did you know that a smartphone is packed with all kinds of sensors. One such sensor which we plan to utilize in one of our upcoming updates is "pressure sensor" that will use pressure to activate "emergency stop". This kind of feature simply doesn't even exist in "knob" based controllers.
I like having a speedometer on the controls. real trains have speedometers, so should model trains. It is nice to know what speed your trains are going at 1/87 scale.
