I have now posted a total of 11 videos about the creation of my first HO Train Layout in a Long, Long Time. It is, of course, a Dead Rail/Battery on Board layout.
The most recent video, My First HO Layout in a Long, Long Time, Part 11, was posted on February 22, 2024.
Part 11 includes What I Have Learned So Far - A Two Year Review, Numbers 30 - 42
Includes pros and cons of Dead Rail, problems with some Atlas HO Snap Switches, a lot of shared battery information, info on Cardstock Structures, the Chinese manufacturing problem, and a quick note on my first steam conversion.
I have documented the build, thus far, on my Website, “A Journey Into HO Scale Model Railroading in the 21st Century”. The Website was also completely updated during December 2023 and January 2024.
I have created a playlist for the layout series of 10 videos on YouTube, at this time.

As a reminder, I’ve also created a playlist for my “Making and Using a Portable Dead Rail Demonstration HO Layout Parts 1 - 10

My Channel, on YouTube, is noted as Electric Flyers Only of southeastern Michigan, that is because it was originally started for my electric motor, battery powered, RC flying videos.
Enjoy and let me know what you think,
Ken
Yet another excellent video!
You comments towards the beginning of the video brings out a clear distinction in using dead rail for track related simplification while relatively complicated locomotive related work/maintenance.
